Illuminated Bollards
Here is a range of uniquely styled, internally illuminated flexible bollards, designed to provide enhanced driver warning over a wide temperature range in all weather conditions. Carefully engineered soft lines and a specially developed durable polymer enable the TSS range of bollards to sustain repeated impacts without compromising integrity. As a result, the likelihood of personal injury and liability can be greatly reduced or eliminated. The 360 degree, extended visibility of the TSS internally illuminated bollard provides advanced warning of highway hazards, regardless of vehicle approach angle.
BENEFITS
High visibility - from any approach angle in all weather conditions.
Passively safe - will not cause damage or injury.
Secondary Illumination - reveals surrounding road geometry and nearby pedestrians to drivers.
Durable - Advanced high flexibility polymer resists tearing and reforms with minimum distortion.
Guaranteed Graphics - Durable Mold In Grahics guaranteed against fading and delamination for 5 years.
Easy to Maintain - a specially engineered surface treatment for easier cleaning.
Fully Recyclable.
Strategically placed, approaching drivers can interpret the geometry of the road from a much greater distance giving more time to adjust speed and position. The height places the sign legend directly in the drivers field of vision encouraging drivers to keep focused on the road. This reduces driver hesitancy and indecision, improving traffic flow and safety. Being durable and safe TSS bollards can be placed where you need them.
APPLICATIONS
The TSS bollard comes with a pedigree, having been in use in the UK and the rest of the world for decades. Now, with made for North America designs and graphics, the TSS Illuminated bollard is being offered to the Transportation Engineering authorities in the United States and Canada.
Proven in performance, we suggest the following applications.
Bull nose and splitter island markers.
Turning breaks in medians.
Median markers on roundabout approaches.
Pedestrian refuges.
Traffic calming geometry markers.
Roundabout exit markers.
ILLUMINATION
Illumination is provided by range of tough, waterproof, baselight units placed at grade level. They are designed to take repeated wheel loading without compromising integrity. Once installed the baselight requires minimum maintenance. More details are given below.
